Camp
We finally arrived at Yosemite. We camped near the quaint town of Groveland, CA. Highlights included a unique coffee shop, Mountain Sage, and a local meat market, Kevin N Randi's Old Fashion Meat Market. If you’re ever in the area, we’d highly recommend.
Park
We woke up the next morning to almost no traffic and no wait to get into Yosemite. This contrasted what we expected based on recent reports of massive wait times. We continued to Yosemite Valley where, in contrast to my last contradiction, we played the game of musical parking chairs until we found a spot. Our hike was Yosemite Falls.
After getting tired of bobbing and weaving through crowds, we headed to Mirror Lake with promises of reduced traffic and views of Half Dome.
We ended our day wandering around the seemingly straightforward but apparently maze-like road system trying to find out way back to our car, adding a few extra miles to our day.
Next on our list is wine country and the pacific coast!
